Terms of Service
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms apply to your use of Make My Minutes, a service provided by Jon Watkins Consulting ("we," "us"). By using the service, you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for that organization.
The service
Make My Minutes helps boards build agendas, record what happens in their meetings, and produce minutes. We may improve or change features over time, and we'll give reasonable notice before removing anything your organization relies on.
Your organization's minutes
Make My Minutes is a tool for recording minutes. It doesn't decide what goes in them. Your organization remains responsible for its minutes' accuracy, and minutes become official only when your board approves them under its own bylaws and procedures. Nothing in the service is legal or parliamentary advice.
Accounts and access
- Your organization's administrators decide who can sign in, by listing their email addresses.
- Keep access to your sign-in email account secure, since it's how you sign in.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone has gained access to your organization's records without permission.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, to store content you don't have the right to store, or to try to get into another organization's records or interfere with the service.
Fees
Fees, if any, are as agreed in writing with your organization, including on an invoice. Organizations in a trial or pilot use the service free for the agreed period. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect.
Your data
Your organization owns its records. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service. You can ask for a complete copy, or for deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability
We work to keep the service available and your records safe, and the app keeps working without a connection. Even so, the service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We recommend keeping your own copy of approved minutes, as you would with any important record.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees your organization paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending the service
Your organization can stop using Make My Minutes at any time. We may suspend access that breaks these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give at least 60 days' notice and provide your complete records.
Changes and governing law
If we change these terms meaningfully, we'll update the date above and notify organizations' administrators before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
